What is the job about?

As a Head of AI Solutions, you will be at the helm of a Data Engineers and Data Scientists’ team, tasked with deploying data and AI technologies to deliver substantive benefits to the clients of Grundfos Business Divisions. This should be done in close collaboration with stakeholders from business and the other development units in the Global Technology and Innovation organization.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Spearheading the formulation of AI and data policies among Grundfos Business Divisions to achieve a unified approach towards data and AI applications in digital products and solutions;

  • Setting the direction for a team of AI Specialists, Lead data scientists, Chief Data Analysts, and Data Engineers while ensuring prioritization of their tasks;

  • Ensuring that stakeholders are aligned and onboard with the AI strategy and data strategy that has been devised;

  • Facilitating solid collaboration with other R&D functions at Grundfos and establishing effective cooperation in developing new products for AI and data strategies;

  • Ensuring that AI development is protected by filing industry-specific patents - both to secure new applications and to ensure that our development is not in breach of third-party IPR;

  • Establishing efficient data pipelines to effortlessly collect, process, and analyse data, which includes managing data connectors and integrations;

  • Securing real-time and batch data is used effectively to keep our insights up-to-date and accurate;

  • Steering the team in implementing machine learning techniques such as federated learning and transfer learning, as well as supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, and self-supervised learning for model training and in-depth data analysis. This includes the exploration of reinforcement learning for optimizing real-time decision-making.;

  • Spearheading efforts to design and supervise digital replicas aimed at modeling and examining multifaceted systems;

  • Making sure that the team makes use of leading technologies like deep neural networks (DNNs), convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and graph neural networks (GNNs) to address complex problems in data domains such as time series data, spatio-temporal data, image data, etc.;

  • Driving the adoption of ML/Ops practices to ensure the efficient deployment and management of AI models throughout its lifecycle.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • MSc in computer/data science or other relevant AI-related education.

  • More than 5 years of large-scale, hands-on experience with applied AI.

  • More than 10 years of relevant work experience in business leadership and digital solutions preferably in the water technology industry.

  • More than 5 years of experience in leading and developing people.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.

  • Proven experience in project and change management.

  • Fluent in English verbal and written.
