What is the Job all about?

The Scrum Master that we need is a skilled observer and an active listener who creates a positive environment, so the Scrum Team aspires continuous improvement fuelled with good motivation. The resource studies the working dynamics of the team, so the approach and contributions are valuable to what the Scrum Team needs. You may have your own style of coaching but at the end of the day you enthusiastically guides the Scrum team to be effective adhering to but not limited to Scrum Framework.

This job is part of the Digital Customer Excellence Value chain accounting for 60 % of Grundfos’ annual revenue. We organize into individual SCRUM (Product) teams where Grundfos empowers the team to decide innovation and maintenance of a number of products, together with a SCRUM Master and a Product Owner. The product team is empowered to evaluate best distribution of tasks to be done, lifting that responsibility.

This job position is within the Project Collaboration Team , mainly responsible for the Grundfos group products selection, sizing, configuration, and self-service. The team is currently very small in number but is planned to expand. Thus, the need for a Scrum Master who has a proven track record of establishing Scrum. The Scrum Master is expected to show very high accountability and responsibility, while also having some domain experience within the team’s product responsibility.

Your main responsibilities:

We are looking for a Scrum Master who stays true to his/her intentions in the following ways:

Scrum Master that serves the Scrum Team:

  • Tirelessly coaches the team members to be self-managing and cross-functional so their mindset in choosing who, how, and what to work on reflects respect to the Product Owner's decision in ordering the Product Backlog

  • Helps the Scrum Team to develop critical thinking in selecting Product Backlog Items to make sure that they are focused on creating high-value increments

  • Motivates the team to inspect and adapt the Definition of Done towards valuable and quality of work

  • Being a cause of the removal of impediments; impediments that endanger the progress of the Scrum Team

  • Brings out the best in each of the team members by maximizing the use of Scrum Events for effective collaboration

  • Facilitates Scrum Events as requested or needed and should be able to coach the Scrum Team how to

  • Highly transparent to the team and at the same time have a good sense of confidentiality to uplift the Scrum Team's understanding the need to embody Scrum Values to keep good professional relationships

  • Keen to the overall Scrum Team's health to make sure no one is left behind

  • Creates a safe environment to foster learning from one another

Scrum Master that serves the Product Owner:

  • Works closely to the Product Owner to ensure that the Scrum Teams journey and direction is transparent, visible and understood

  • Helps in finding ways for effective Product Backlog management to ensure everyone in the Scrum Team captures the vision · Finds opportunities for the Scrum Team to appreciate clear and concise Product Backlog items

Scrum Master that servers the wider organization:

  • Participates in valuable initiatives of the Community of Practice and Scrum Masters Guild · Finds balance in helping other Scrum Teams wherever is applicable

Your background:

  • Three years of solid experience as a Scrum Master in a Scrum Team

  • Certified Scrum Master / Professional Scrum Master / or equivalent

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in relevant areas

  • Effective communication skills both orally and in written English ·

  • Basic knowledge with Wiki > Jira > Bitbucket or Azure DevOps

  • Software developer background is not required but will help you gain better understanding when you get into the team
